It started with a backpack containing a laptop, a sound mixer, a microphone, and a dream…
One game of trivia in Silverdale, Washington, in late 2010, quickly ballooned into “Trivia Time Live!” and became the local go-to trivia experience for the better part of 15 years. Fast forward to today and what evolved into GlobeTilt Trivia is more than just a game — it’s sparked friendships, packed patios, and created numerous spaces where people feel like they belong. That’s always been the mission: to take a break from the weekly grind, to foster real community, to unplug for a few hours, and to experience some joyful and memorable moments without phones, screens, or social media.
With a mix of music, clever questions, and engaging Trivia Jockeys, our games are designed to do more than just entertain—they energize venues and bring people closer together. GlobeTilt Trivia strives to turn your hard day’s night into your favorite part of the week!
The owner of GlobeTilt, who began as a peasant, is now attempting to become a Feudal Trivia Lord!
Lance enjoys bringing people together in the spirit of fun and having a few laughs. Trivially speaking, he says he attempts to be a “jack of all trades and master of none” so he can keep the content mixed and reach as many different types of players and people as possible.
Since “Trivia is life and the rest is just details,” when not crafting questions and games, he likes the details of spending time with his daughter, dabbling in fantasy baseball, listening to new music, and catching up with old friends and family.
Lance thinks the best concert he’s ever been to was whatever the last one he attended happened to be, but he did particularly enjoy seeing Ringo Starr at the Ryman. As such, his strongest trivia category would probably be “The Beatles” and he wants to run a game about the band one of these days.
He said his walk up song would be “I Am The Walrus” but implores people to please sing “Goo goo g’joob” and not “coo coo ca-choo” because that’s Simon and Garfunkel. (He has a source for that.)
A fictional world he’d like to spend time in is “The Field of Dreams” but not necessarily just the one in Iowa.
His yet to be written biography has a few working titles: “Trivia Is What Happens To You While You’re Busy Making Other Plans” or “I Am He As You Are He As You Are Me And We Are All Together”

Karyn is not only a Trivia Jockey but also our main event planner.
Karyn loves her life as an empty nester. When not on adventures with her husband and adult kids, you can catch her hosting GlobeTilt and working behind the scenes with nearly all aspects of the business.
As an avid traveler, Karyn wants to hold the Guinness record for most countries visited in 24 hours!
She said her “walk-up” song would be “Livin’ la Vida Loca” and the best concert she attended was U2.
Though Karyn didn’t pursue her 5-year-old girl leanings of being a ballerina, she loves to dance as often as possible and claims expertise in the “Taylor Swift Song Titles” category.
If she decides to leave us it would most likely be to take a teaching position at Hogwarts Academy.
Karyn says her biography will be entitled “Pivot!”

When not hosting for GlobeTilt, Lona runs workshops and coaches people in her business “Lona Teaches Bliss” where she is a Neo Tantra Teacher.
As a dedicated Trivia Jockey, she loves putting together playlists for her games, and if she were entering the room to a song, it would be “Light It Up” by Major Lazer.
Lona digs Middle Earth, can take it easy like El Duderino (if you’re not into the whole brevity thing) and she would totally hang out with mermaids if she had a bit more time.
Speaking of time, Lona would like to hold the record for visiting the most countries in one year. Lona never shies away from having a good time and “A Life of Pleasure” is the as-yet-to-be-written story of her life.

Karl has been hosting games since 2014 and if he’s not running the game, his team will probably beat your team in “Harry Potter Trivia!”
Karl can often be seen running around helping at the Tracyton Movie House and one of his favorite lines from a movie is “Never give up. Never surrender.”
Karl cited Star Wars as the fictional world he would most like to live in and when he was a young padawan of just five, he envisioned being an astronaut.
Karl’s walk-up song would be “DANGER! HIGH VOLTAGE!” by Electric Six and his favorite concert was “Flight of the Conchords”.
As is often the case at his games, he’s “Just Kidding!” and that’s what he said the story of his life would be called.

Say hello to GlobeTilt’s nuclear engineer. For real.
Brandon may say he became a Trivia Jockey for the “benefits package” but we know better.
He just recently acquired the nickname “Dr. Tiki” but you’ll have to ask him about that.
If he could exit reality (we’re pretty sure he sometimes does) Brandon would enjoy inhabiting the world of the video game “Monkey Island”.
He claims his upcoming biography will be entitled “Not Last”.
Brandon has an amazing log of all the concerts he’s ever attended but says the best one was when he saw Billy Joel with Elton John in 1994.
“One More Time” is his song to enter a room to so keep going to catch him host one more time as he is truly a Daft Punk!

Rebecca is yet another case of long-time player to Trivia Jockey professional!
By day, she’s an Executive Recruiter and Head of Marketing for Ghost Mountain Executive Search.
With aspirations for one day being a part of the most people ever in a Chinese finger trap chain, Rebecca fittingly tabbed “Yakety Sax” by Boots Randolph as her “entering-the-room-with- style” song and don’t take her on in the trivia category of “Dictatorships and anarchic systems!” She will win that authoritatively!
Rebecca was able to attend Joni Mitchell’s performance at The Gorge and names that as her best ever concert.
The “in-the-works” biography of Rebecca’s life will be entitled “Not Impressive But A Little Funny.”

Jordan is an industrial blacksmith for the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard during the week, but on some evenings he’s an industrial wordsmith and a Trivia Jockey.
Jordan says he thinks it would be pretty cool to hold the record for fastest speed ever achieved on two wheels. If he ever does this, the means of transport will undoubtedly be British Racing Green!
He’s been known to host a little karaoke over the years, as well, and if Jordan enters the room to a song, he said he would choose “Sharp Dressed Man”. Speaking of music, he added that his best concert was when he caught Incubus at Red Rocks.
As a player, Jordan claims “Medieval History” as his unique category of skill. Look for his life story to hit the shelves one day and it will be entitled “I Don’t Want To Work But I Have To”

When she’s not busy as the Learning and Development Coordinator for a local title company, or being the mother of a precocious little girl, Shannon hosts a few times a week for GlobeTilt.
An expert in the trivia categories of “Title and Escrow” and the TV show “Friends” she would also like to inhabit “The Village” in New York, much like the fictional characters, because as she puts it, “…with the rent control?!”
If she could achieve a record with the Guinness people she would choose “most lotteries won by a single person!”
When she was five years old she envisioned herself being a pastry chef, and she has concocted some very sweet nights of entertainment for our players where her enter-the-room song would be Destiny’s Child’s “Bootylicious”.
She cited her first concert to also be her best concert when she attended the Britney Spears “Femme Fatale Tour” featuring Nicki Minaj and Jessie J.
If you’re planning to attend one of her games, get there early because the seats go fast!
Shannon’s ongoing biographical work is entitled “Here’s The Thing…”

Christyan is our resident “tech guru” for GlobeTilt and also works as an electrical and hardware engineer when he’s not entertaining our players.
His interests are quite eclectic and he hopes to hold the title of “most books read in a lifetime” when Guinness comes calling.
For escapism, he’d like to inhabit Discworld because he thinks it would be “funny instead of painful”.
When Christyan has the chance to play trivia, he does well at numerous categories, but will bring the fire and brimstone of knowledge if he’s challenged to an “Old Testament Timeline” category!
The best concert he says he ever attended also happens to be his first when he saw Weird Al Yankovic perform.
Christyan chose “Don’t Stop Me Now” as his walk-up song which is appropriate given that the in-the-works story of his life is to be titled “We Haven’t Got Him To Stop Talking Yet!”
